Nathan Babcock

Consultant, Atlas Political Consulting

Nathan Babcock is a political consultant based in Raleigh. Babcock began his career in politics in 2010, working for then-Senate Minority Leader Phil Berger and Senate Caucus Director Jim Blaine. After that year’s election successes, Babcock was promoted to Caucus Director.

In 2012, Babcock left for the NC Chamber to start its independent expenditure operation and consult for the state’s business community. At the Chamber, Babcock lobbied for landmark victories, including tax reform and transportation funding reform. After the 2016 election cycle, Babcock joined the Parker Poe law firm as a contract lobbyist. That year he was named one of the “Most Influential Lobbyists” by the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research.

In 2020, Babcock returned to campaign work, consulting for North Carolina legislative candidates and other Republicans, launching Atlas Political Consulting. During the 2021-22 and 2023-24 state legislative sessions, Babcock served as a Senior Policy Advisor to Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger. He helped the General Assembly pass several significant healthcare reform bills and new congressional and legislative maps. Babcock continues to consult for the North Carolina Republican Senate Caucus and candidates across the state.
