Three county-level teams of justice system stakeholders participated in the North Carolina Court Appearance Project. Teams sought to improve local court appearance rates and develop better responses to nonappearances. They examined local court and jail data, reflected on court practices and procedures, and crafted policy solutions. Their solutions provide models for change. Read the report to learn more.
